Evaluation question 2

Noel Clarke is a famous television and film actor and has taken part in a lot of thrillers such as Centurion, I'll sleep when I'm dead and 4.3.2.1.
In our main actor you can see a lot of the same characteristics as on Noel Clarke, mostly on the clothes as the are both wearing hoodies, headphones and they have the same facial expression. This is a very common outfit for actors in thriller films. Some people may look at this outfit as a 'gangster oustfit' and other may categorize this as a casual/normal outfit that blends in with the crowd, my personal opinion is that this is a very casual outfit.

evaluation question 1

The first shot is our film company's logo to advertise and it is important for the audience to know which film company makes the film as all film companies specialize in a particular area.

The second shot is from the beginning of the film when the main character enters the area where the film takes place through a gate which I think it is an important picture as this establishing shot starts of the film.

The third shot is a picture of one of our production companies to show the audience which type of film it is and to show them that it is a British film as coffee films is a British film company.

The fourth shot is one of my favorite shots as it could show most of the story line of the film, it is dark in the area the main character is on but he is walking towards the light, this can symbolize that he is a bad guy now but he is headed towards something good, and he may need to make bad things happen for something good to follow.

The fifth shot is a picture of the main character sprinting between two buildings, it shows the audience that our film has a lot of action and may attract a lot of audience.

In my opinion the sixth shot is of the most important scene in our film, it shows the stunt that our main character performed himself to escape from one of the people chasing him, he jumped down from quite high which will attract a lot of viewers as most people like to see stunts and action scenes like this.

In the seventh shot you can see our main character hiding in the dark area at left side of the shot as he is trying to get away from the 'bad guys' but you can also see that he is in the dark which can symbolize the opposite.

The eighth shot is of one of the main scenes as it is when the main character finds some very confidential information which a big part of the film will be about, we do not let the audience see what is in it to wake curiosity so they will want to see the film.

The ninth shot is where the audience gets to know the mysterious main character, it is a shot of a very fancy watch and shows that he has good style and that he is not there to steal money or anything valuable as the watch symbolizes that he has enough money.

Genre research

I have chosen a thriller as my theme for the first 2 minutes of my movie for my media studies course work and here is research for the genre I.e Thriller.

What is a thriller?

Thrillers are a genre of literature, film, and television programming that uses suspense, tension, and excitement as the main elements.A common subgenre is psychological thrillers

Similarities between Thriller Movies!

Most or all thriller movies involve high amount of action and to some extent lot of blood, action and killing, a good example being James Bond. They normally have a good guy who is the hero who can do amazing stunts and has all the fancy gadgets and is very gentleman like who is normally which is not in al but most cases a special agent of some kind or does secretive work. The movies involve lots of women which adds to the effect of the movie and there is always a girl in the heroes life who is portrayed as a very ‘hot & sexy’ person.!

FAST FIVE

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast Five. In this installment, former cop Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law. Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race. It is an action packed movie with every corner filled with exciting scenes which will blow you away and is considered as one of the best thrillers of the year!

HANNA!

Raised by her father (Eric Bana of Star Trek), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of Finland, Hanna’s upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. The turning point in her adolescence is a sharp one; sent into the world by her father on a mission, Hanna journeys stealthily across Europe while eluding agents dispatched after her by a ruthless intelligence operative with secrets of her own (Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett). As she nears her ultimate target, Hanna faces startling revelations about her existence and unexpected questions about her humanity.Though in my view the movie is not a great one it still has the traits of a reasonably good thriller except with a slightly disappointing ending.

LIMITLESS!

Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro star in Limitless, a paranoia-fueled action thriller about an unpublished writer whose life is transformed by a top-secret “smart drug” that allows him to use 100% of his brain and become a perfect version of himself. His enhanced abilities soon attract shadowy forces that threaten his new life in this darkly comic and provocative film. A really interesting movie to watch, one that I thoroughly enjoyed being one of a kind and with a different storyline as the usual James Bond type films. A reasonably good story which keeps the audience on the edge of their seat throughout the movie and has some good suspense which is revealed at the end taking back with the audience a lot to think about
